안녕하세요 works as a polite greeting throughout the day, but the right goodbye depends on who is leaving. That is the kind of detail a translation alone can miss. This collection brings together 500 Korean phrases for daily life, travel and work, with English meanings and notes where the setting matters. Choose a situation and start there; you do not have to work through every row in order.
Learn the phrase with its setting
Read each Korean sentence as a whole before trying to change individual words. Many expressions use polite endings; the notes explain distinctions that matter when speaking to someone you do not know well. Each line includes Hangul and an approximate Latin-letter pronunciation guide. Learning to read Hangul will help you use the written phrases, but this page is not an alphabet or grammar course. Print the page if a paper reference is useful, and replace example names with your own when practising.
First contact
안녕하세요 is a greeting, while 어서 오세요 welcomes someone who is arriving. When you leave and the other person stays, use 안녕히 계세요; the note gives the other farewell for someone who is leaving. These differences are worth learning as complete exchanges rather than interchangeable ways to say hello or goodbye.

Tasks
제가 처리할게요 says you will handle the task or matter. 먼저 재야 해요 says something needs measuring first, with the object understood from the situation. Practise each sentence with a task you recognise. That makes it easier to notice when you still need to specify an object, person or deadline.

Practise a short exchange
Pick one question and think about the answer it might receive. Practise asking for repetition as well as asking the original question. Later, cover the Korean column and try to recall the expression from its English meaning. A phrase list can give you a useful beginning, but listening and real conversations are what let you respond when the other person says something unexpected.
Common questions
Do these Korean phrases use polite speech?
Many everyday requests use polite forms suitable for unfamiliar people. The notes explain relevant differences in wording and context. One phrase list cannot cover every relationship or level of formality.
Why are the phrases written in Hangul?
Hangul preserves the Korean spelling instead of approximating it with English letters. This page gives meanings and usage notes; learning the alphabet separately will make the tables easier to use.
Is English for Korean speakers the same list reversed?
No. That collection uses the shared English 500 phrase list with Korean translations and notes. The Korean-learning phrases on this page were selected for people learning Korean.
