Nothing plays when I plug in my charger
Vocabcord uses the iOS Shortcuts automation to notice when you connect power. Make sure the one-time setup is in place:
- Open the iOS Shortcuts app → Automation tab
- Confirm you have an automation for "Charger → Is Connected"
- Verify it's set to "Run Immediately" (not "Run After Confirmation")
- Verify the action is "Play Phrase" (from Vocabcord)
Not sure you did it right? Walk through it screen by screen on our setup guide. If it's still silent, check your phone isn't in silent mode and your volume is up.
How do I change the language or level?
Open Vocabcord and tap to switch packs. Pick any language and CEFR level you've unlocked — from A1 for beginners up to C2. Your choice sticks, and every charge plays the next phrase from that pack. Switch as often as you like.
I paid but my packs are still locked
Tap "Restore Purchase" on the paywall screen. This asks Apple to re-check your purchase history and unlock everything you own. If that doesn't work, email us with your Apple ID receipt (found in your email inbox) and we'll sort it out.
Can I get a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go through them. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find your Vocabcord purchase, and request a refund. Apple decides — we don't see the transaction.
Does Vocabcord work on iPad / Mac / Apple Watch?
Vocabcord is iPhone-only for now. The charger-plug automation relies on iOS Shortcuts triggers that are most reliable on iPhone. iPad and Mac versions may come later.
Can I request a language or pack?
Yes. Email us with the language, level, or topic you'd like to learn. We fold the most-requested ones into upcoming packs.
Can I use the phrases commercially?
No. The vocabulary, audio, and packs in Vocabcord are licensed for personal learning only within the app. See our Terms of Service for details.
