Vocabulary practice built into an existing habit

Choose Spanish, French, Polish, German, Italian or Portuguese paired with English. Content runs from A1 to C2. Each phrase is recorded by a native speaker and carries a translation and an example sentence showing it in use.
Once set up, the app works outside class without reminders or another task for students to remember.

Choose a level and theme, then let Vocabcord run for a week or two. Start the next lesson by reading out three phrases and asking who recognises them.

Keep language active during holidays
Ask students to set their level before the end of term. Phrases continue playing whenever they charge their phones, without streak pressure or daily reminders.
Support mixed levels quietly
Each student chooses their own CEFR level. Learners who need reinforcement can work below the class level without scores, rankings or a public label.
Give parents a simple recommendation
The explanation takes one sentence:

Choose a language and level
Select a language pair, CEFR level and vocabulary theme.
Plug in and listen
Android detects the charger directly. On iPhone, the student completes a one-time Shortcuts automation before the first phrase can play.
Teaching an iPhone-heavy class? Walk through the Shortcuts setup together once. It is the fiddliest part of Vocabcord and the only step worth giving class time.
Need a ready-made cover lesson?
The Vocabcord cover lesson runs in 30 to 45 minutes. Students collect six phrases, test each other through audio, place the phrases in context and teach two to another pair.
The app speaks each phrase and its translation, and shows an example sentence on screen, so the lesson can be led by a teacher who does not speak the target language.
Questions teachers ask
Do students need their phones out during lessons?
No. Vocabcord usually runs when students charge their phones outside class. Phrases can also be played directly inside the app for classroom activities.
What about students without smartphones?
Use Vocabcord as an optional extra so access to hardware never affects a student’s grade.
Does Vocabcord collect pupil accounts?
Students do not create accounts. There is no class roster, pupil email collection or login for teachers to manage.
Which languages and levels are available?
Spanish, French, Polish, German, Italian and Portuguese are paired with English. Each language covers CEFR levels A1 through C2.
What does it cost?
Students can start with free content. Additional packs are available through a subscription with a free trial.
How do school seats work?
Schools license Vocabcord per seat. Each student scans a QR card to unlock access. Schools are invoiced, and institutional seats have auto-renew switched off.
