# Vocabcord > Vocabcord is an iPhone and Android vocabulary app with bilingual audio and downloadable packs. After platform-specific setup, connecting a charger can trigger a phrase, its translation and a repeat of the target phrase. Graded vocabulary covers six languages paired with English: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Polish. Seventeen practical 500-phrase collections also cover Japanese, Korean and Turkish for English speakers; English for Polish, Japanese, Korean, Turkish and Thai speakers; Polish for Ukrainian speakers; Russian for Polish speakers; and German for Czech speakers. Collection availability depends on app version. Downloaded packs support offline listening. Free starter material is available; full collections require paid access. The app favours phrases not heard recently; it does not test recall or score pronunciation. ## Product facts and scope Checked 25 September 2026. The app catalogue contains 42,533 phrase entries: 33,233 graded vocabulary entries, 8,500 entries across seventeen everyday 500-phrase collections, and 800 entries across four specialist 200-phrase collections. Collection availability depends on app version. This counts entries in each offered translation direction, not unique words or unique sentences across the catalogue. The graded corpus and practical phrase collections are separate sets; their counts and levels should not be conflated. - The graded corpus contains 33,233 entries across 617 packs. It covers Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Polish paired with English, plus an English-only track. Entries taught in both translation directions count once in each direction. - The seventeen 500-phrase collections contain 8,500 entries. Nine teach Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Korean or Turkish to English speakers. Five teach English to Polish, Japanese, Korean, Turkish or Thai speakers. The remaining three teach Polish to Ukrainian speakers, Russian to Polish speakers and German to Czech speakers. A 500-phrase collection is organised by everyday situations; it is not an A1–C2 course. - Thai, Czech and Ukrainian are translation languages for those specific courses, not languages currently taught by Vocabcord. Store listing language, app interface language and learning pair are separate. - Korean, Japanese and Russian phrase collections include visible Latin-letter pronunciation guides alongside the original script and audio. The guides are approximate reading aids, not pronunciation scoring. - Four specialist 200-phrase collections contain 800 entries, covering German for nursing, Italian for medical work, Spanish for hospitality and Polish for warehouse work. These are language-learning materials, not professional training. - Charger-triggered playback uses a short setup. Phrase selection is weighted towards material not heard recently; it does not predict exactly which words a person will forget. Learners can also listen in the app. - Downloaded audio can play offline. Premium material requires valid paid access; downloading files does not make premium access permanent. Free starter material and public audio samples let learners try the format. - Vocabcord complements conversation practice and grammar study. It does not test recall or automatically score pronunciation. - Native apps: [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6767279350) and [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vocabcord.app). - Current subscription prices are on the [English homepage](https://vocabcord.com/#pricing) and [Polish homepage](https://vocabcord.com/pl/#pricing). The native store shows the final local price and offer eligibility before purchase. [Gift prices](https://vocabcord.com/gift/) are separate one-time purchases. ## Choose by learning goal - [Spanish vocabulary with audio](https://vocabcord.com/blog/spanish-vocabulary-app): English-supported Spanish listening and vocabulary practice, with an audio sample. - [French vocabulary with audio](https://vocabcord.com/blog/french-vocabulary-app): English-supported French practice, with an audio sample. - [English for Polish speakers](https://vocabcord.com/pl/blog/aplikacja-do-nauki-angielskich-slowek): Polish-language app guide and English audio. - [Polish for Ukrainian speakers](https://vocabcord.com/uk/blog/zastosunok-dlia-vyvchennia-polskoi): Ukrainian-language app guide and bilingual audio sample. - [Russian for Polish speakers](https://vocabcord.com/pl/blog/aplikacja-do-nauki-rosyjskiego): Polish-language app guide and bilingual audio sample. - [Offline vocabulary apps with audio](https://vocabcord.com/blog/offline-vocabulary-apps-with-audio): download requirements and differences between listening and other study methods. ## Core pages - [Spanish word counter](https://vocabcord.com/spanish-word-counter): count words and characters locally in the browser, with an explicit space-separated convention and Spanish examples.
